10 Tips to take care of your Discus fish

Fish of the disc is some of the most beautiful tropical fish, but keeping them can be difficult. Their environment is extremely important for these reactive fish. There are several boards key, you can follow to keep Discus happy and healthy.

1. The first point in caring for fish of the disk is to keep a clean tank. These fish are extremely sensitive to disease and water conditions. Since Discus do not well tolerate changes in water quality and a reservoir of more small is more likely to vary its pH levels, a 40 gallon tank is probably the reservoir of smaller size for them.

2 Tip number two is to remember to quarantine new fish before placing them in your tank. A new fish can introduce bacteria, parasites or diseases in the tank. Keep the fish again in a separate tank for two to three weeks. If at the end of this period, they do not exhibit signs of health problems, it is safe to place them in with your existing fish.

3 Tip number three is to regulate the temperature of the water. The discus is a tropical fish. They thrive in temperatures of water at approximately 84 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. With the help of heater in your tank will keep the water in the ideal temperature for your fish.

4 Understand the type of environment that Discus fish as is the number four. The body of a Discus fish is perfectly designed for swimming through foliage. In nature, Discus often found hiding under logs, rocks, plants, or other sheltered spots. Provide many places in your Discus tank to hide.

Another trick to take care of Discus is feeding the right kinds of foods. Love of the drive to eat live food such as worms, the vase, daphnia or brine shrimp. Unfortunately, sometimes these foods may contain bacteria and parasites, so be careful.

6 Tip number six goes right with the last end; the process of feeding itself. The discus is a very reactive fish. They will react to your presence in the room, things on television, or they can even tap on the glass to your approach before feeding time. Be aware of their eating habits on a regular basis. If they are not eating, there is something wrong. Not make them. This can pollute the reservoir and too eat can cause stress fish.

7 Another obvious trick to address of the disk is to provide your tank with a good filter. Simply because it is obvious does not forget. A general filter is easy to clean and is good for the community tank. Use a filter which removes heavy metals and chlorine water, but does not change the pH level.

8 Tip number eight is to place your tank in a good location. It should be in a quiet place without much activity. Even the shadows or the vibrations caused by people walking past the reservoir opening or closing the doors close may make fish jerky.

9 Lighting is number nine. By placing lights, overhead is cut the on the shadows that could frighten the fish. Fish feels more secure since you can see them, but they cannot see you.

They require at least 20 to 30 per cent of the water in the reservoir has changed, but you should not change a great amount of water in the tank at a time because it will focus on these fish.
